Our conversations went something like this…
About 3 Weeks Before Father’s Day:
Me: Jesus, Father’s Day will be here soon. Who should I ask to be featured in the Art & Soul column?
Jesus: Be patient, love.
About 2 Weeks Before Father’s Day:
Me: Jesus, Father’s Day is getting closer. Who do you want me to contact for the Art & Soul column?
Jesus: Trust Me, love.
About 1 Week Before Father’s Day:
Me: Jesus, Father’s Day is next week! Please tell me who I should ask to write the Art & Soul column. Don’t you agree that it should focus on Father? I have looked for artists who have created artwork that features Him, but it’s been difficult… most Christian artists have chosen to use images of You.
Jesus: What about you?
Me: Me? I don’t have any artwork of Father either.
Jesus: What do you see in your mind’s eye right now?
Me: I see Father embracing me and You standing alongside us, smiling and Holy Spirit flying in the sky as a dove.
Jesus: Perfect! Create that. Call it “Daddy’s Love”.
Me: I don’t have a lot of time this coming week; will You help me?
Jesus: Of course, love.
Me: Thank You! What should I write about in the column?
Jesus: Why don’t you ask Father?
Two Days Later:
Me: Daddy?
Father: Yes, daughter?
Me: What would You like me to write about in the Art & Soul column that will feature You for Father’s Day?
Father: Tell them how much I love them. Write it in the form of a love letter from Me.
Me: What should I say?
Father: Tell them some of the things I’ve told you. Will you do this for Me?
Me: Yes, of course! Just bring to my mind the words You would like to say.
Father: Thank you, my beloved daughter.
My Beloved Child,
I have known and loved you with an everlasting love since before you were born… before you were even formed in your mother’s womb. You are precious to me… your name and your life’s purpose were written in My divine books long ago. You were created to be a special object of My love and affection. You are My masterpiece! I delight in you!
I know that sometimes you don’t feel My love and may have even questioned whether or not I am truly good. You live in a broken world full of disease, suffering, and death. These things break My heart…but please know, beloved, this is not how things were intended to be when I created the world along with Adam and Eve. One of the greatest gifts I have given all of My children is the gift of free will. However, free will is also what allowed Adam and Eve to eat of the forbidden fruit which led to all things from my enemy, Satan, to enter the world.
Beloved, know My heart for you… I desire that My limitless strength will empower you through My Spirit. I desire that you would come to fully understand the height, length, and depth of My love for you. In My perfect love there is no room for fear. Fear is crippling—fear of the unknown; fear of death; fear of the future; fear rooted in hurt, shame, or low self esteem. Fear is evidence of a life not yet fully formed in My love. I offer hope and a life full of purpose. I want to heal the deep hurt you feel in your soul from not being loved by significant people in your life.
My greatest desire is for you to allow My Son, Jesus, to make His home in your heart. All you have to do is accept the perfect sacrifice that He made for you and He will remove every spot and blemish in your life. He will guide your steps as you daily grow to trust Him with your deepest hurts and disappointments. His death on the cross and resurrection from the grave were the beginning of the restoration process made available to all My children to find their way back to Me. Through His sacrifice I offer you My gift of grace and forgiveness, if you’ll accept it. One of the reasons Jesus came from heaven to earth was so you could stop searching for love and acceptance in the wrong places and start living as an heir in My kingdom— an heir who receives full inheritance as my beloved child. I LOVE YOU!

If you are ready to fully embrace the love offered from your Heavenly Father, your Daddy, we invite you to pray this prayer:
Dear Daddy,
At this moment, I now fully understand that You just want to be a loving Father to me. Forgive me for not realizing this sooner while seeking the approval and acceptance of people who haven’t always had my best interests at heart. I now understand that, through Jesus, I can find restoration and learn to walk fully in the love and life You want for me. Please guide me to know You better along with the plan You have for my life. Today, I fully embrace Your love for me, and I thank You for always pursuing me and drawing me closer to You throughout my life. I LOVE YOU TOO!

I love this! Because we aren’t puppets, we get to make choices. I’ve heard comments like – where was God when this was happening, why did God allow this to happen, God must really hate me to allow this to happen to me, etc. God didn’t plan for this world to be like it is. But through it all our Father‘Daddy God’ is with us if we choose Him!
Absolutely! Love is also meaningless if we don’t have the choice to love or not to love.
This is so inspiring. We do need to reminded that fear is crippling and to be strong especially through the tough times. Your artwork is truly amazing! Thank you for sharing.
Thank you Nikol!❤️ We are weak but He is strong! When we put our trust in Him we don’t don’t have to be strong by our own strength or walk through it alone. Fear is the opposite of trust. “For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, and of love, and self-control (and some translations say “sound mind”.) 2 Timothy 1:7
