What is the Beauty for Ashes Mini Seminar
The enemy comes to “steal, kill, and destroy” but Jesus came to give ABUNDANT LIFE! (John 10:10). Even though we know this, sometimes as Christians we still struggle with worry, anxiety, fear, addictions, and other attacks from the enemy. He creeps in the back door like an uninvited squatter and speaks lies over us. He twists God’s truths until we forget who we truly are in Christ. He destroys relationships by influencing our thoughts, words, and deeds towards others. He builds walls in our wounded hearts that pull us away from family, friends, and from the love of God. Enough is enough! Jesus died to give us a LOVE, JOY, and PEACE filled life NOW—not just when get to Heaven!
Captives Free (part of Life with Christ Ministries) and Redeemer’s Heart are partnering together to offer “Beauty for Ashes” art mini seminars designed to help bring inner healing and speak Kingdom identity into women of all ages and art ability levels. We will focus on Isaiah 61 as we speak truth about the fact that Jesus is the one who binds the brokenhearted, brings liberty to the captives, gives a beautiful headdress instead of ashes, oil of joy instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a heaviness. We will speak God’s TRUTH to renew minds and break off the lies of the enemy. We will help women embrace the fact that they are BELOVED daughters of God and ROYAL HEIRS through their identity in Christ! (Romans 8:17)
Participants will create a 5X7 mixed media artwork that uses acrylic paint, glitter mixed with ashes, mini gems, and a crown applique. Participants will also receive a mini 1 ml bottle of "oil of joy" and a "garment of praise" chiffon scarf.
COST: We ask that a donation is collected on our behalf on the day of your event. This money will go towards the cost of the materials with any extra money collected going towards the many costs associated with this ministry and website. The suggested donation for this workshop is $10 per person plus any additional amount the participants feel led to give to support our ministry.
AMOUNT OF TIME NEEDED: 3 hours
MATERIALS & SET UP: Please set up tables with all chairs facing the front of the room if possible. We also ask for you to supply water for our paint cups or access to a water source. We will supply plastic table coverings and all materials.

What is the vinyl verse painting workshop?
Participants apply vinyl letters of your choice of verse and design onto a 12"x16" canvas board. Next, they paint over the letters using acrylics in any colors, style, or design they would like. Finally, they remove the vinyl letters to reveal the canvas board underneath. The vinyl letters used as stencils and the step-by-step directions and examples make this workshop easy for all ability levels! You don't have to be a talented artist to create a wonderful painting that showcases your chosen verse!

What is the alcohol ink painting activity?
Alcohol inks are very vibrant, fluid, and fun to use! For this activity, participants will learn how to partner with the Holy Spirit to create a personally meaningful and expressive 5"x7" piece of alcohol ink artwork layered on top with a verse printed on transparency film. In addition to the biblical teaching, this activity includes all materials, instructions, and video demonstrations of the techniques and tips used to apply and move the alcohol inks around. It is an easy and enjoyable activity for all ability levels!
